Our Story

A café carved out of a storybook

Geppetto was the toymaker who poured his heart into everything he made. We named our café after him for a reason.

Why "Geppetto"?

In the story of Pinocchio, Geppetto is the old toymaker who carves a puppet with such love and care that it comes to life. That's the spirit we cook with.

Every crêpe at Geppetto Café is poured, watched and folded by hand — thin, golden, and filled with the freshest ingredients we can find. Like the toymaker's workshop, our cafés are warm little worlds of their own: wooden details, whimsical touches, and the smell of butter and coffee in the air.

Since 2016 we've grown from one café on Butler Street into two neighborhood spots — Lawrenceville and Bloomfield — but the idea has never changed: make it with love, and it comes to life.

What we believe

✦ Made by hand

Crêpes aren't fast food. Each one is poured to order on the griddle and folded in front of you.

✦ Fresh, always

Fresh fruit, real Nutella, good cheese, house-made pastries — including our homemade baklava.

✦ A little wonder

Breakfast should feel like the start of a story. We sweat the whimsical details so your morning feels special.
